Associate Director - Environmental Planning & Approvals

Adelaide based / Private specialist consultancy / Technical, leadership & business development opportunity
We are working with one of Australia’s leading privately owned environmental consultancies. With offices across Australia and NZ they combine their technical expertise with a deep understanding of big picture sustainable business strategy to deliver solutions that drive positive environmental, economic, and social impact while creating long-term value for their clients. Large enough to work on significant and challenging “tier 1” projects they are nimble enough to provide a streamlined, flexible and specialist technical service with minimal bureaucracy.

Working alongside the South Australian Regional Director you would play a pivotal and significant role in helping to grow the business and manage the delivery of work in a technical project director capacity.

These environmental approvals roles at this level of seniority do not come up very often.

  • Are you looking for greater ownership and control over your career?
  • Do you want to play a significant leadership role helping to steer and grow a business?
  • Do you have a passion for approvals work and fear that your current career path may take you away from what you love?
  • Do you crave a collaborative, supportive and empowering, team first culture, where you like and respect all of your colleagues?
  • Are you frustrated by multi-national paperwork and reporting, red tape and ego driven corporate politics?
  • Do you want to work for humble down to earth business owners who share your visions and ideology?
  • Ultimately do you want to be part of a family where people care about, trust and empower you to work in a flexible environment?

We are looking for an Associate, Associate Director or Director with a proven technical capability in environmental planning and approvals and an ability to build relationships and win work. The salary and level would be based on your experience, reputation, network and capability in winning and delivering complex and challenging projects. With at least 10 years of Australian consulting experience you will have worked across and be well respected in some or all of the following sectors: mining, industry & resources, water & transport infrastructure, renewables, power and utilities, building and urban developers. Their clients are predominantly private and where they work on major government projects they tend to work through contractors or consultants.
Working for a specialist employee owned National consultancy provides you with the freedom, flexibility and opportunity to build and control your career. This is an opportunity to win the work you want to work on, with the people you want to work with, delivering the technical excellence you are proud of.
An opportunity to become a director and owner of this flat structured successful and growing organisation would be a realistic objective.
Great companies build roles around great people so please reach out to discuss what you are looking for.

To discuss your career and this opportunity in complete confidence please do not hesitate to email or call me. Reaching out does not mean that you are unhappy or looking to move but rather that you are keen to learn more, expand your network and keep in touch for the future. At CTC our objective is to listen, understand, support and help you to achieve your unique and personal goals and aspirations.
