Site Safety Coordinator
National Construction Company / Permanent role / Excellent and inclusive culture
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Safety Coordinator to join our Adelaide team within our EHSQ (Environment, Health, Safety & Quality) function. In this role, you will support project teams by promoting and maintaining and maintaining safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and driving continuous improvement in safety standards across our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits and incident investigations.
- Assist in developing risk assessments, work methodologies and safety management systems.
- Support project teams in meeting all relevant WHS legislation and construction industry standards.
- Engage and influence workers at all levels to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Provide clear, practical safety advice to site teams and subcontractors.
- Maintain detailed safety records and prepare reports for management as required.
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry (including experience gained while studying).
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and construction standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent WHS qualification)
