Satiney Artone

I started my journey with CTC as an intern whilst in my final year of a bachelor’s degree in business human resources management and psychological science. When I first came across CTC, I did some digging on the team and the type of work they did and felt inspired by their key driver of helping people, so I went for it, I have been part of the CTC family for 10 months now.

Initially I was working alongside Chris where I learnt how to shortlist applicants, write advertisements, manage our database, conduct market research, sit in on candidate and client meetings, and assist in CTC’s marketing initiatives. As I gained more experience I was encouraged and supported to take on more responsibility such as managing end-to-end recruitment, planning and managing CTC’s social media marketing and events, assisting with training initiatives and specialising in an industry sector where I could develop my knowledge and professional network.

During my Internship I was given the opportunity to work through secondment with one of our clients as a Human Resources Administrator. Through this experience I was given the opportunity to explore another side of HR working for a large organisation in an internal capacity. As I continued to grow my skills and take on more responsibility, I was supported by CTC to gain my RCSA accreditation in recruitment consulting, not only did this add an extra level of depth to my knowledge It connected me with other recruiters who were going through the same experiences. Throughout my time at CTC, I attended multiple industry networking events where I was able to develop relationships with our clients, and other recruiters. I can honestly say that the person I am today is far different from the person I was 10 months ago when I joined CTC, I have been supported at every stage to create the career that I want.

As an individual I grew in my ability to identify and understand who I am, what I want from life and how I can develop my skills to get there. And professionally I have grown in ways I could only hope for, CTC gave me a safe and collaborative space to take initiative and develop new skills empowering me to take on the most responsibility I have had in my career yet. I haven’t just gained exponential career development and a professional network that will last me a lifetime, I’ve gained a second family who has empowered me to chase after the life I want.

Now I am headed interstate to step into a consulting role with PwC, where I can put my knowledge and skills to the test. No matter where this next chapter takes me, I know that CTC will always be my biggest supporters, and if nothing else have been the best preparation in showing me what I am capable of.
