The Short Bar

Part 3. – The Short Bar!

Kev catches up with some of the key players working in roles that most people would not know much about and get their insight on why someone should pick it as a career.

Vesal is not only an exceptional Designer and BIM Manager with a great project portfolio but he also happens to be one of the nicest guys in the Industry!

Vesal, how did you initially get into the Structural Design field?

I was always interested in design (graphic, industrial, architectural) and developed an interest in the architectural/structural interface to create an overall structure (stadium roofs, bridges, facades).

What’s the best thing about working as a Structural Designer?

The best thing would be seeing the project come to life and learning from the project cycle. Always learning something new about constructability.

What advice would you give to an aspiring Structural Designer?

Always listen to those with more experience, learn from previous mistakes, be open to new ideas and challenges.
