Variety – the Children's Charity is seeking a Motoring Events Support, Risk & Assets Officer to play a key role in delivering some of South Australia's most recognised fundraising events, including the Variety Bash, 4WD Adventure, Moto Run and Aussie Muscle Car Run.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Events, you'll provide operational, technical and risk support across Variety's motoring events portfolio.

About the Role:

- Event operations and logistics
- Route surveying and mapping
- Risk and safety coordination
- Vehicle fleet and equipment management
- Radio and communication systems
- Warehouse and asset coordination
- Volunteer and stakeholder engagement
- Documentation, compliance and continuous improvement

What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of major motoring events
- Coordinating event logistics, operational readiness and participant support
- Assisting with route surveys, mapping and navigation documentation
- Facilitating risk reviews, safety discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing event assets, equipment, inventory and warehouse operations
- Coordinating communication systems, radios and technical equipment
- Supporting fleet preparation, vehicle compliance and operational readiness
- Maintaining operational procedures, records and compliance documentation
- Building strong relationships with volunteers, suppliers and key stakeholders

You enjoy being part of a team, are comfortable working in dynamic environments and have the ability to balance operational priorities with strong attention to detail.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience in event operations, logistics, warehouse coordination or similar operational environments
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- An understanding of WHS principles and risk management processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and solving problems on the go
- Strong administration and documentation skills
- Experience with fleet, equipment, communications or operational systems highly regarded
- Experience with mapping, navigation or event technologies advantageous
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility to work permanently in Australia
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout South Australia and interstate
- Forklift licence, WHS qualifications and experience with systems such as Salesforce or LeadNav will be highly regarded.
